One step forwards, two steps back, a cost too high to pay, and a life too precious to barter. As much as I love home, it’s time for a change of scenery. Away from the traffic jams and cold winter nights is where I’ll make a new home.
I have always longed for the ocean, making use of it any way I can and marveling in its beauty every step of the way. I have always said I would rather lead a simple life and be happy, than drag my feet for a pay check. Unless that paycheck was a million dollars, in that case, sign me up.
To make things short and sweet, I want to do great things. I want to feel the sun on calm blue waters, and end it all with a beer and a pretty lady. Life is a funny chain of events. Mine have brought me from New Jersey to Thailand, and I even managed to pick up a pretty lady along the way.

Enjoy your adventure, because that’s what life is suppose to be!! Two bits of advice from someone who’s working overseas too. First, if you get access to internet, Skype helps if you get a touch of homesick. Second you’ve likely done it but if not register online with the US Embassy in Thailand. If you by bad luck you lose or have your passport lifted being registered can cut slot of tie of getting a replacement. Oh and check the state delta country page lots of good tidbits slit of times for a given country. Oh and great name for the blog!!

Thanks David! Skype is most definitely a necessity. Not so much for me, but I’m sure my family will want us much face time as possible. I will look into registering with the embassy, and thank you for the advice. Best of luck with your work and your travels!
